Singer, songwriter and actress having features on a number of TV shows like Melrose Place, movies like Hot Chick, Space dogs: adventures to the moon, Ashlee Simpson is a versatile artist in her talents and in her appearance. With natural blond hair and a charming smile, she is a rock star who has been in the limelight along with her sister Jessica Simpson.

Starting with 2001, she guest starred in Malcolm in the Middle, with a school girl classy blonde for her appearance, although her appearance was very short. For her role as Cecelia in the movie 7th Heaven, she cropped her hair into a shaggy chin length her and front bangs, Simpson appeared sweet and bubbly in it.

2004 saw the release of Autobiography, her debut album with the songs, Pieces of me and Shadow. Simpson dyed her hair a shocking black, which was contrast from her natural blond. The daring artist took a leap having dyed it in her bathroom herself. Having dyed it black to differentiate from her already famous sister, Ashlee portrayed her contrasting side with the color.

Her album was a huge success and with the end of her tour, the artist returned to her glorious blond hair from her shaggy smoky hair. Oscar Blandi, the hairstylist called this cut the rock-and-roll chop with its sexy sharp cuts and tips. Ashlee stayed consistent with darker shades and fringes in the year, kept short.

Also, the artist funked up her hair in angled bob for the 2005 billboard music awards. Later that year, she opted for the California blonde again, with resulting light red undertones from her transition of dark to light. The color eventually toned down from red to honey brown and then to blond.

She went through a series of hairstyle choices in the year 2006 ranging from long rock and roll waves in platinum and varying shades of blonde, and choppy waves after undergoing rhinoplasty for her role in Chicago on Broadway.

Following year, Ashlee adopted a glamorous Hollywood get up with waist-length soft waves in varying shades of blonde with warm and cool tones.

2008 saw a major change in Simpson’s appearance with sassy straight deep chocolate blonde hair. The year proved to be successful for her with the release of her third album Bittersweet world.

Her role in Melrose Place, Simpson retained a darker hue   the auburn hair and a fringe that created a media buzz. For the New York fashion week in 2010, Simpson sported long ombre locks, the same year being seen in brunette shades and highlights.

The same year, she was found with a platinum razor pixie cut, after a divorce from husband Pete Wentz. The pixie cut eventually grew out and took into a longer shape in the following year in 2011.

2013 saw a complete 180 in Simpsons looks as she flaunted classy teased blond curls.

Next year she was seen with highlighted features which complemented her natural blond look. During the premier of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, she was seen showing off her blessed features in soft styled hair.

In 2015, Simpson reverted to her signature look with platinum blond straight hair with a longer side bang.A sleek and bold look brought out her elegant beauty in the 24th annual Elton John AIDS foundation Oscar viewing party.
